COLLECTIVE IMPACT LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE

The Collective Impact Leadership Institute fosters leadership among adults and youth who have been directly impacted by the criminal legal system. It is committed to investing in the personal transformation of all formerly incarcerated people working to rebuild their lives in Richmond and throughout Contra Costa County. 

 

More than 200 community members directly impacted by incarceration, their family members, loved ones, and faith leaders have participated in a collective learning and power building experience. The institute exposes emerging leaders to the basics of community organizing, violence prevention, and personal transformation strategies that are culturally based. Participants learn about media and communication tactics that lead to community action and civic engagement strategies at a local, regional, and state level.
