Alex Navarro

Alex Navarro first heard about Safe Return Project after forming a partnership with Executive Director Tamisha Torres-Walker through the gun violence prevention work Alex has been volunteering for with Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. While advocating for more funding for the California Violence Intervention and Prevention programs (CalVIP), Alex focused her energy on the city of Richmond and was able to connect with organizations like Safe Return Project and the Office of Neighborhood Safety. 

Alex joined the Safe Return Project in August 2022 as the Operations Manager. Her role is a vital part of the management team. The Operations Manager will oversee high-level HR duties, such as attracting talent and setting training standards and hiring procedures. They will also analyze and improve organizational processes and work to improve quality, productivity, and efficiency. Alex works closely with the Executive Director, Development Director, and staff to oversee administrative operations, including finance, human resources, legal, general administration, and management systems.
