Pedro works closely with youth, mentoring, developing, and building relationships through one-to-one interactions. He is involved in our weekly Young Latinx Men's Support Group Program, joins SRP team members at outreach events, and assists participants in navigating programs, where each day, he takes away something new and gains a new perspective by hearing and learning how everything, large or small, impacts people's lives. In the future, Pedro hopes to continue to help at-risk youths and help eliminate police brutality and profiling in his community.

Marvin Galdamez is the Senior Organizer with the Safe Return Project in Richmond, California. He supports justice-impacted individuals by coordinating programs, facilitating workshops, conducting outreach, and helping participants navigate reentry services and resources.

Katrina Swenson leads strategic communications, social media, and website development for the Safe Return Project. With over ten years of nonprofit experience in digital marketing, design, analytics, and project coordination, Katrina is deeply committed to leveraging modern communications tools for advocacy, social justice, and narrative change.

Carolyn is a Credible Messenger & Organizer with the Safe Return Project, where she continues to grow as a community leader. She remains actively involved in Safe Return Project’s LAT&X and Sister Circle groups. She also mentors youth, helping them navigate challenging moments in their lives while using the skills she has gained to recognize trauma and triggers and support others through difficult experiences. She has had the opportunity to sit at tables with judges and other leaders, bringing her community perspective into important conversations and spaces where decisions are made. She is excited to continue learning, growing, and giving back to the community that helped shape who she is today.

MyNesha Guerrero is the Administrator Coordinator for the Safe Return Project, where she has been dedicated to supporting the organization’s mission since September 2023. Over the past three years, she has played an important role in helping coordinate administrative operations, support program activities, and contribute to the continued success of the Safe Return Project.

Tamisha Walker is a founding member and Executive Director of the Safe Return Project, a campaign to secure the freedom and liberation of formerly incarcerated individuals.

Chala first learned about the Safe Return Project while participating in a cohort at Rubicon Programs. That introduction eventually led her to Safe Return Project in 2018, where she began her journey as a grassroots organizer. What started as an opportunity to advocate for her community quickly became a calling. Over the years, Chala has grown alongside the organization, taking on greater leadership and responsibility as a Lead Organizer, Program Manager, and now Deputy Director.

As Leadership Development Coordinator, Precious fulfills an essential support role to the Safe Return Project. When she’s not assisting with planning and coordinating our programs and activities, she’s supporting organizing staff with assignments, schedules, marketing and communications needs, organizing, coordinating, and facilitating community outreach.
